WANTAGH MS DREW PACKED AUDITORIUM FOR ‘FROZEN JR.’
Under the direction of Victoria Dempsey, production manager and stage crew director Kimberly Davis, music director Kristin Piciullo and student director Lauren Mertig, Wantagh Middle School’s talented cast and crew drew packed audiences for Disney’s “Frozen Jr.,” held in the Wantagh High School Memorial Auditorium on March 6-7.
The school production kept intact the popular story of the 2013 Disney film and 2018 Broadway adaptation and with the empowering message of love and understanding. The role of Anna was played expertly by Sofia Cocchiola (young), Emma Nicholas (middle) and Ashlee Fucarino, while Bria Campo (young), Krista Dowling (middle) and Madelyn Hartmann played the role of beloved Elsa. Characters King Agnarr (Hunter Fasano), Queen Iduna (Ellie Varrone), Pabbie (Jamielynn Korotki), Bulda (Sierra Kenny), Kristoff (Anthony Lerro), Sven (Paul McHale), Hans (Matthew Riley), Duke of Weselton (Sean Hill-Hotz), Olaf (Logan Schroh) and Oaken (Lorenzo Hilliard) also drew applause from the enthralled audience.
Additionally, Broadway actor Ben Bogen visited the cast during their dress rehearsal to evaluate the show and to give the student-actors tips on how to make their acting better.
